The  Reasons  for  Our  “Thon”

Thank you for saving and extending lives by conributing to this event

100% of the funds raised in the THON go to Camp Hickory Hill.

Camp Hickory Hill sustains a community, culture and medically-sound program of support for persons with diabetes, especially children, using our camp environment to foster education, self-reliance, confidence, an active lifestyle and skill in the successful management of diabetes.

Event  Details

Registration is at the Jay Dix Station Park, 3775 South Scott Boulevard

Cyclists will use the MKT from Scott Drive to the Katy Trail (approx 4.2 miles and return to Scott Drive or enter the Katy Trail (right turn) and proceed to Rocheport and return.  Walkers/Joggers will use the MKT from Scott Drive to Forum Nature area – approximately 2 miles and then return to Scott Drive.

You may begin walking or jogging or biking any time after 9:30 a.m. once you register.

You may end your participation any time, but the event is officially over at 2:30 p.m.

Free lunch, snacks, water and Gatorade will be available during the event!

What to do: Before the “Thon,” contact as many friends, family members, neighbors, businesses and acquaintances as possible. Ask them to pledge 50 cents, $1, $5 or any amount per mile that you accomplish. A flat donation for $25, $50, $100, or any amount regardless of the distance is also acceptable. On Oct. 6th, sign in at our Registration Table and then walk, jog, or run as long as you wish.

There is a flat fee registration option as well (Walk-a-Jog-a-Bike-a-FUN!) if you do not wish to get sponsors.  Registering this way will earn you a t-shirt, but you will NOT be eligible for the prize awarded to the one who raises the most money for the cause.

After the “Thon”- You will be given a certificate indicating the distance that you covered. Take the certificate to each of your sponsors and politely ask for their donation.

Please include your name and phone number so that we can contact you if you have won a prize! Remember the due date is September 30th to be eligible for a prize.  Contact David if you need more time at David@camphickoryhill.com

If you would prefer to not utilize AnyThon for sponsor sign up and would rather use paper sponsor sheets, those are available for download below as well as a pricing sheet if you or a business would like to be an event sponsor listed on the t-shirts and this website.
